I've been tasked with finding a new video camera for work. There's so many out there and I'm not the expert on them, that I thought I would see if anyone on my f-list has any input...

The things I know I want to have are:

• Good sound recording quality, with potential to add an external microphone if needed.


• Digital (so we can transfer straight to the computer).


• Since hard drive space is limited, what are options on storage for digital cameras?


• High quality zoom

Those are what I know for sure along with standard need for good quality video... Anybody have any input?

First off... Happy 4th of July to all the US of A people running around out there. Hopefully your 4th isn't as wet as mine is.

The family decided to have the lake picnic / fireworks tomorrow evening, so luckily we're not getting rained out. However, I was out fishing with my mom, grandma, aunt and niece when the sky opened up and down came the rain.

I got drenched. Majorly drenched.

Before the fishing adventure though, I had another moment. I guess the upside is it wasn't in the bathroom this time.

I was driving from my parents house to my grandma's house (only a few minutes drive) when I felt something sting my throat. I reached up to swat / brush it away and I managed to brush it right down my shirt. Now I'm going 55 mph, stung once and the live bee thing down my shirt and stuck in my bra. *head desk*

I managed to get the thing out of my bra, only to have it sting my stomach area just below. Finally I came to a spot where I could pull over. So I jumped out of the car and did the "get the bee out of my shirt" dance. Don't know what happened to it, but it was gone and I've got two sting spots.

Anyway, happy 4th, enjoy the fireworks and I hope to finish the next in the letter series tonight. :-)

Oh, my 2 1/2 year old niece wants to say something:

I'm 4th in line for autograph session tickets. I arrived about 1am. I'm crazy. Yes, I know this.

My sister has her laptop and Metropolis has free wi-fi. Neat... :-)

So... I fail. I went over to Metropolis to get an autograph session ticket for Justin Hartley and Phil Morris. I failed.

I was about 15-20 people too late.

The tickets were handed out for sessions in this manner:

55 tickets per session
4 sessions

Each person could get 1-2 tickets for the same session. And tickets were handed out starting at 7am.

They are doing the same thing tomorrow morning. The first person to arrive there today arrived at 4am. So now, I need to decide what time to go camp out in Metropolis tonight. I have to factor in everyone who didn't get a ticket today and wants one. I have to factor in the out-of-towners who won't arrive until today/tonight that want tickets...

I'm thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 2am-3am. What does my f-list think?

My sister may go camp out with me. If she does, I have a plan. I will get 2 tickets, she'll get 2 tickets and then we will hand the extra two to a person in the back of the line who didn't get any.

I figure I can take my iPod and a notebook and write. Who knows what I can write while waiting. Perhaps something with Gibbs as a bottom. I need to gather prompts before going.
